About the Artwork

The Golden Hour is part of Davina Shefet’s Golden Hour series, a body of work that explores the luminous, fleeting moments between day and night. This piece portrays a nomadic young woman — a figure with echoes of Pippi Longstocking, part adventurer and part dreamer — accompanied by her timid blue monkey perched on her shoulder. Together they encounter a mystical white horse in a flowering landscape, a meeting that captures both wonder and vulnerability as twilight sets in.
