Part of the Douceur de Vivre series, this painting recalls Davina Shefet’s childhood memories of growing up in the South of France — moments bathed in sunlight, innocence, and playful discovery. Here, two figures lean into each other with a mix of awkwardness and tenderness, echoing the artist’s first memory of a kiss with her childhood sweetheart, hidden away in a costume closet.
